Zero Point is a non-invasive, battery-operated device to indirectly and transcutaneously stimulate the auricular branch of the vagus nerve (ABVN) that to aid in reducing the symptoms of various chronic diseases and disorders by stimulating the ear at the junction of the conchal ridge and the root of the ascending helix.
This is accomplished by stimulating a cutaneous area on the outer ear, specifically at the cymba conchae. The device is composed of a handheld generator and earpiece. The earpiece makes electrical contact with the skin via disposable hydrogel electrodes. One electrode is placed into the cymba conchae and at least one other electrode is placed in an area surrounding the outer ear; e.g., behind the ear.
